The vineyard is located in the Chieti province of Abruzzo, on the eastern coast of Italy, and is influenced by the Adriatic Sea. Pecorino is an early ripening variety that tends to naturally produce low yields even without severe winter pruning. The vines are trained on a traditional vertical trellis system called Pergola Abruzzese, in clay and limestone soils.
