Vinified according to a philosophy of minimal intervention, allowing the variety and terroir to be fully expressed. Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures of 23°C, lasting two weeks. Halfway through fermentation, the wine was transferred to French oak barrels to complete fermentation. Maturation took place 100% in French oak, a combination of 228-liter barriques and 600-liter demi-muids. The wine matured on its lees until the final racking.

The vines are grown in the Bourgogne Chardonnay appellation, which benefits from a cool, continental climate, where warm sunny days during the ripening period are tempered by cool nights, which imparts a natural balancing acidity to the grapes. The grapes come from plots in the Mâconnais, Cote Chalonnaise, and Cote de Beaune, where the soils vary and offer subtle nuances from each terroir in the resulting blend. The vines are densely planted and are cultivated according to the traditional methods with a large and aerated canopy. They are sustainably farmed with practices such as using fresh compost from local farms to nourish the vines. General treatments include copper and sulphur, and mechanical ploughing takes place to maintain the vineyard soils. Once the grapes have reached optimum maturity, they are hand-harvested.
