  • In the words of Jamie Goode, “Campanian superstar wine Montevetrano burst onto the scene in 1995 and achieved cult status almost overnight.” Starting with just four hectares, photographer Silvia Imperato teamed up with renowned winemaker Riccardo Cotarella and after just a few vintages, Montevetrano was dubbed “the Sassicaia of the South” by Robert Parker. Since then, the vineyard has grown and the blend evolved to include Cabernet, Merlot, and Aglianico – a true “super campanian”, and a compelling mixture of spice and Lesh. (local varieties from neighboring vineyards go into the two Core wines both are sumptuous examples and very well-priced for their quality.
