This wine is made from a careful selection of the very best grapes from various vineyards across the commune of Monteforte d’Alpone. Certified organic, the vineyards have been meticulously cultivated in accordance with the organic regulations, exclusively using organic preparations. The volcanic origin of the soil means it is rich in limestone and clay; the limestone imparts elegance and encourages the production of grapes with high natural acidity, while the clay element has water retention properties to sustain the vines throughout the warm summers. The Garganega grapes flourish in these soils and produce yields of 90 to 100 quintals per hectare on average. The vines are late-harvested by hand at the end of October, in order to achieve maximum body and extract.
