A round and supple wine that delivers notes of fragrant red summer fruits, Complemented by hints of gorgeous spice and subtle Dutch chocolate notes. The Fox Gordon vineyards are situated on 60 hectares of breathtaking vineyards at Kuitpo Forest in the Adelaide Hills, overlooking the world-famous McLaren Vale. Planted at altitude, the grapes are imbued with lovely cool-climate characteristics. The fruit for this wine is picked from an old single-trellised vineyard, where the vines produce large plump berries.
2017 saw a cool spring with a late budburst. The fruit set was excellent, followed by a warm summer and ideal ripening conditions, resulting in even ripening and high natural acidity.
