Winery	Named for one of Joe's daughters, the grapes for this wine come from a small block of vines on a west-facing hillside above the town of Sebastopol. Here the Chardonnay ripens slowly under the full influence of the Pacific Coast, with cool temperatures brought on by a thick marine layer of fog that does not usually give way until noon, even in peak of summer. This cool, temperate environment allows for a protracted growing season that offers a remarkably elaborate and elegant wine with full flavour development without compromising acidity and structure. Sourced from the Devoto Vineyard, Genevieve’s Block Chardonnay benefits from the vineyard’s Goldridge Loam soil and west-facing slope. This small, two-acre vineyard has one acre of Chardonnay, one acre of Pinot Noir, and one flock of sheep.
