The grapes were carefully selected. Fermentation took place with selected yeasts in open stainless-steel tanks at temperatures of 26-28°C. The wine underwent maceration for a further week to gently extract color, flavor, and fine tannins, before being transferred to oak where malolactic conversion took place. The wine was aged for 18 months in French oak barriques, of which 20% were new.

| Winery | The grapes are selected from the single vineyard Scarrone in Castiglione Falletto, in the Barbera d'Alba DOC. The vineyard is planted at a density of 6,500 plants per hectare and has a southeastern orientation, which allows the vines to optimize exposure to the warm afternoon summer sun. The soils are rich in limestone and clay in which the Barbera vines produce elegant and balanced wines. The vines are sustainably cultivated and are manually harvested when the fruit has reached optimum phenolic ripeness. |
