- Complex aromas of stone fruits, gingerbread and buttery, toasted notes enhance the rich and mouthfilling palate, which has a lovely freshness on the finish.
The vineyard is located on the slopes of Mont Ventoux at an altitude of between 300 and 400 metres above sea-level. The cool breezes at this elevation temper the warm climate. The warm days and cool evenings promote a long ripening period and encouraging the grapes to ripen fully while retaining balancing acidity, resulting in fresh wines with good aromatics. The 15 to 25 years old vines are planted in sandy soils facing south-east and yield 35 hectolitres per hectare.
Nestled in the foothills of the Mont Ventoux, on the Princes of Orange route, is the Domaine de Champ-Long. The sheltered and exceptionally sunny estate covers 30 hectares, straddling the Ventoux and Côtes du Rhône appellations. An exceptional
diversity of terroirs contributes to the complexity of these fine wines, which are vinified using methods that fuse traditional skills with modern technology. Owners Béatrice, Christian and Jean-Christophe Gely, cultivate their passion for wine in this beautiful
countryside, on the estate which has belonged to the family since 1820. The vines are farmed sustainably and the Domaine is certified HVE.
