- Expressive and perfumed Syrah, with notes of succulent black cherry, toast, meat, and violets. The tannins are silky and in perfect balance with the fresh acidity. The finish is long and harmonious. A dense wine, with notes of sour cherries, plum, roasted coffee, and leather. Fleshy, with fine and rounded tannins that coat the palate and carry on through the long, savory finish.
The grapes come from the districts of Mercurol and Beaumont-Monteux, from vineyards planted on glacial alluvial deposits with a preponderance of rounded pebbles, stones, and gravel in the matrix.

| Winery | Maison Ferraton was founded in 1946 by Jean-Orens Ferraton, the scion of a family of vignerons with a small holding in Hermitage. Expansion of the family business continued apace under his son Michel, who bought vineyards in St-Joseph and Crozes-Hermitage. In addition to this, he established a high-quality negociant arm, producing superior wines from the length of the Rhone Valley. This bijou producer has long been a firm proponent of organic and biodynamic farming, with an increasing number of wines produced according to these principles. |
