The grapes come from a careful selection from the most favoured terroirs of the Côtes de Provence, majoring on parcels from the higher elevations, in the foothills of the Sainte-Victoire Mountain range, where the cool night temperatures and poor limestone soils produce pronounced minerality. The blend is complemented by a careful selection of parcels in the ‘Golden Triangle’ around the foothills of the Maure Mountains and the upper Var region. Here, the maritime and continental climates converge, imparting the fruit with aromatic complexity and length. The soils in this area are rich in clay and
sandstone, the clay element provides good water retention properties to nourish the vines during the warm, Mediterranean summers. The vines are trained according to the Cordon de Royat method and the vineyards are sustainably cultivated to promote soil and vine health and biodiversity.
