- Polished garnet in colour, notes of cinnamon bark, Cara Cara orange peel, and forest dew breathe life into the glass. On the back palate, the mouthfeel is plush and elegant, with a smooth texture and dusty tannins complimenting hints of ripe strawberries and dried sage that lead to a fresh and lengthy finish. A beautiful blue garnet in colour, with aromas of spiced cranberry, orange zest, and pomegranate dancing from the glass. Grippy tannins and defined acidity come together on the palate, evoking flavours like plum compote, clove, and herbal tea. Pure, bright, and clean, Terraces finishes with the grace and elegance you have come to expect
"Vinified with about 60% whole clusters, the medium ruby colored 2020 Pinot Noir Terraces has a deep core of red cherries, pomegranate, and cranberries layered with tones of blood orange, aniseed, and garrigue. Medium-bodied, gently chalky, and super fresh, it offers detailed wild berry fruits and a long, ethereal, floral finish. 670 cases were made." Erin Brooks in the Wine Advocate, 95 Points, 2022-2030

Winery | Chad Melville works in the western hills of the Santa Ynez Valley, a paradoxical landscape of exceptional cool temperatures - despite being less than 150 miles from Los Angeles! This is down to its unusual east-west orientation, which funnels the cool Pacific winds down the valley's length. These conditions create incredibly sunny vineyards with every hint of moisture pulled from the surface of the grapes by the wind. The intense concentration, brilliant flavour, and harsh, stressful environment create some of the finest Pinot, Chardonnay, and Syrah. |
