- An extraordinarily elegant, ethereal wine delivering red fruits with hints of violet and oak spice. Beautifully balanced with an elegantly textured, velvety palate and a lovely, long finish.
Maceration of the skins took place for 10 to 15 days at temperatures of 25 to 30°C. The frequent pump-overs used special pumps which were designed to move the skins and seeds very gently. The wine was aged for two years in 5,500 litre oak barrels, while a small proportion was aged in French barriques. After bottling, the wine was aged in Carpineto's temperature controlled cellars for a minimum of six months prior to release.

| Winery | The estate covers 84.5 hectares of dry-farmed vineyards among the rolling hills of the Vino Nobile region of Tuscany. The vineyards are planted with a minimum of 70% Sangiovese (known locally as Prugnolo Gentile), Canaiolo and international grape varietals. These vineyards are trained according to modern trellising methods with clones and rootstocks varying according to soil type.
