The vineyard is located in the cool, coastal hills of the Colchagua Valley. Located at 170 metres above sea level, the vines are planted close to the Rapel River, which offers a tempering microclimate to the heat. The vines are grown just 15 kilometres away from the Pacific Ocean, which provides tremendous maritime influence, with constant coastal breezes cooling the vines. The vineyard is also significantly influenced by the Humboldt Current. Summers are warm, with temperatures of up to 25°C allowing the grapes to reach excellent maturity and concentration of flavours, while retaining balancing, natural acidity. The vines are grown in granitic soils with a clay-loam texture, which is poor in organic matter and offers good drainage.
