Described by Robert Parker as being like 'a first-growth Pauillac', Morlet's Estate Cabernet Sauvignon comes exclusively from the vineyards surrounding their restored stone winery just north of the town of St. Helena. Handcrafted using classical winemaking techniques and reminiscent of a true First Growth, this wine represents the precious memory of an extraordinary place. The intense and complex bouquet mixes red cherry and blackberry, underlined with mineral notes, liquorice, fresh blond tobacco, and a hint of blackcurrant. The palate is full-bodied, with a richly tannic yet round frame leading to a long, seamless, and elegant finish.

Born into a family of winemakers in Champagne, Luc Morlet made wine in Bordeaux and Burgundy before his blossoming relationship with his now wife, Jodie, led him to California. After spells as chief winemaker at Newton and then the Peter Michael Winery, Luc and Jodie took the plunge in 2006 and set up Morlet Family Vineyards. Their central vision is one of hand-crafting wines that reflect Lucâ's expertise not only in drawing out terroir but also in the art of blending across lots to create a harmonious whole. One of the rare wineries to receive 100-point ratings across various varietals today, Morlet Family Wines are highly sought after globally. 16 months French oak Dark and deep with a hue of deep bright ruby red.
