2019 Vosne-Romanée “En Orveaux”: (from a .30 ha parcel of 55+-year-old vines). This is one of the few wines significantly reduced, and it’s enough to push the underlying fruit to the background. Otherwise, the super-sleek, intense and highly energetic flavours possess fine detail and plenty of minerality before concluding in a moderately austere, classy and sneaky long finale. Lovely juice built to reward mid to perhaps even longer-term cellaring.
