Traditional Chateauneuf du Pape with a full flavour of berried Grenache fruit and spice. Complex notes of spice and graphite are underpinned by red fruit preserve. It is a very textured and silky wine with lovely, total concentration; the tight tannic thread gives it a beautiful volume and remarkable length. Chateau Fortia is a symbolic estate in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, both for its location and roots, closely linked to its appellation. In 1936, due to the efforts of Baron Pierre Leroy, Chateauneuf du Pape became the first appellation with a set of winemaking regulations. Today, his descendants continue to be proud of their family tradition.
