The magnificent Haras de Pirque estate occupies a privileged position at the foot of the Andes, in Chile’s Maipo Valley region. The lovingly tended vineyards are on largely north-facing slopes, from the middle of which rises a unique horseshoe-shaped gravity-flow winery, inspired by the estate’s other claim to fame: as an internationally renowned thoroughbred breeding farm. The wine side of Haras de Pirque is now owned by Italy’s Antinori family, their chief winemaking Renzo Cotarella bringing his elegant sensibility to bear while respecting the character of this very particular terroir

Galantas show a ruby-purple color and the nose expresses notes of graphite along with such dark berry fruit as blueberries and blackberries. The palate is supple, elegant, fresh, and mineral-laced. A wine capable of demonstrating all of the characters of the Maipo Andes valley.
