- From 6 acres of Bordeaux varieties planted in the Revana Vineyard in 2008/09. Each cluster was hand-harvested and individually berry sorted, to produce a world-class blend of power and elegance that reflects the unique high-elevation terroir of Los Chacayes. The pure rock soils, intense UV radiation, and high elevation combine to develop elegant complexities of aromatics and texture that are all too rarely associated with Mendoza.
In 2008, these pioneering producers took a risk in planting a vineyard in the ancient river bed of Los Chacayes, the rockiest part of the Uco Valley. Now home to a small production winery and estate vineyards, Bodega Corazon Del Sol is dedicated to progressing the perception of world-class Argentine wine through Estate bottled single-vineyard expressions. Seven hectares of Estate vineyards are planted to Bordeaux and Rhone varieties at 1,200 meters in elevation and meticulously farmed and hand-harvested.
These superb wines have been winning plaudits for their technically sophisticated Argentine style. Purple in the glass with a garnet sheen. The nose presents notes of fresh plum, hints of violet, aromas from the aging process such as cigar box, and hints of cherry, jam, and thyme. a nimble, juicy wine with a refined texture and finely-grained tannins with compact freshness. The finish lingers at length Planted in the ancient rock-covered river beds of Los Chacayes, Uco Valley - the 'Revana Vineyard' garners extremely low yields due to the arid climate and extreme terroir. Corazon del Sol selects the best 8 barrels from the 7 acres that they produce to produce this full-flavored, stunning wine.
