Knights Bridge Cabernet Sauvignon Knights Valley 2014

  • Country USA
  • Region Knights Valley
  • Grape Cabernet Sauvignon
  • ABV 14.5%
  • Case size 12 / 75cl
  • Aromas of cassis, blackberry, and forest floor are nicely framed by French oak notes of cedar and vanilla with an inner core of ripe fruit that will develop beautifully in this expansive wine. As the wine unfolds, it reveals an inner core of ripe fruits that will propel this wine beautifully as it ages for twenty years or more. Most remarkable is just how delicious and accessible it is now despite its big, expansive framework. Pure cassis and classic oak flavours will resonate with any Cabernet enthusiast.

This classically styled Cabernet unfolds slowly and will age gracefully. Slow fermentation followed by 22 months in 85% new French oak and 15 months in a bottle makes for an intense, complex, and elegant Cabernet Sauvignon.

Nestled on the western slopes of Knights Valley in Sonoma County, Knights Bridge is the perfect spot for creating world-class Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Founded by the Bailey family in 2006 and with winemaking duties led by Wine Spectators 2014 ˜Winemaker to Watch Douglas Danielak, Knights Bridge produces six wines from fruit grown on the estate, as well as two wines using fruit from the iconic Dr Crane and To Kalon vineyards. A masterclass of restraint and elegance, the wines of Knights Valley are not to be missed!

Knight's Bridge was founded by Jim & Essel Bailey and their friend Tom Costin. In 2006, after raising a family of four boys in the urban environment of Boston, Jim felt drawn to his agricultural roots. He considered combining his passion for wine with farming and purchased a 100-acre land in Knights Valley. Understanding that great wine starts in the vineyard, they adopted new, sustainable vineyard management techniques and replanted portions of the estate. They hired a team of seasoned professionals who shared their ambition to produce the best wines possible.
