Intense and tightly wound, this red displays a laser beam of cherry and berry fruit with an underlying mineral element and a steely structure. It's concentrated and long, yet needs time to reveal all its facets. Beaune 1er Cru Les Greves Vigne de l'Enfant Jesus unwinds in the glass with notes of plums, cassis, loamy soil, black truffle, spices, and incense. Medium to full-bodied, velvety, and layered, it's deep and concentrated, with bright acids, ultra-refined tannins, and a long, penetrating finish. This is the latest in a series of superb renditions of this cuvée, and it may be the finest.

The wine presents an impressive combination of fruit and spice aromas, complemented by subtle oaky notes that add depth to the bouquet. Upon tasting, it reveals an intense and full-bodied character yet maintains a delicate and velvety texture on the palate. This balance of robustness and finesse makes it a truly remarkable wine. It has been carefully aged 12 to 14 months in French oak barrels, with a significant portion of new oak (40 to 40%) contributing to its rich and complex flavour profile.
