  • The wine boasts an intense bouquet and captivating red and black fruit aromas, complemented by hints of spices and a touch of oak. Upon sipping, its rich and well-structured profile unfolds on the palate, requiring a moment of patience to fully uncover its bold and distinct flavours. This wine exhibits remarkable ageing potential, promising to evolve beautifully over time.

Bursting with aromas of peonies, rose petals, blood orange, and wild berries, it's medium to full-bodied, layered, and incisive, its pungently perfumed core of fruit built around lively acids and fine, elegantly chalky tannins. This is well worth seeking out.

The cellars located in the Bastions of the ancient Château de Beaune offer ideal ambient conditions. Thanks to their natural hygrometry and constant temperatures, the Grands Crus enjoyed an environment perfectly adapted to tranquil ageing from their first youth.

The first traces of vineyards at Aloxe-Corton date back to the 2nd. Century B.C.. Later, Le Corton became Charlemagne's favourite wine. In the 19th century, the writer Guy de Maupassant contributed to its reputation by calling it the “roi des bons vivants” in his famous novel “Bel Ami”. Corton is the only red Grand Cru on the Cote de Beaune and the only Grand Cru on the Cote d’Or to be divided into “sousclimats”. “Le Corton” is the historic vineyard which gave the name to the Corton appellation.
