- A wine of great complexity, finesse and power that brings notes of black cherry and blackberry to the fore with delicate mineral undertones. Silky, with supple tannins and wonderful freshness.
The grapes underwent meticulous hand sorting to ensure only the highest quality fruit was vinified, which took place with minimal intervention. The grapes were fermented with natural yeast in a gravity-fed winery, without the use of pumps. The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 14 months, of which 50% were new. Bottled without fining or filtration.

Winery | The 1er Cru vineyard is a small parcel in the middle of the Gevrey Chambertin appellation, by the hill of the ‘Combe de Lavaux’. It is a sunny plot with a southeastern exposure which receives cooling breezes, which flow from the bottom of the valley. The soil is complex, ranging from Dijon-Corton limestone in the upper part of the plot to decarbonated silt and Prémeaux - a hard pink-beige limestone from the Bathonian era. The 50-year-old Pinot Noir vines are cultivated organically, without the use of herbicides and insecticides and will be certified from the 2019 vintage. The grapes were handharvested in six-kilogram crates in order to preserve the quality of the fruit. |
