- This was extremely toasty from the barrel and while the wood is hardly subtle now that the wine is in a bottle, it is not quite so overwhelming. The big and muscular flavors are round, full, and rich with good concentration and depth and this finishes with good punch and length. Lovely stuff rendered in a distinctly oaky style that should benefit from 7 to 8 years of bottle age.
