| Winery | The vineyard is located in the 1er Cru appellation of Saint-Aubin, under the chateau, nestled in the hollow of a small valley. The semi-continental microclimate benefits from the colluviums at the bottom of the valley, which ensures significant vineyard drainage. The winters are cold, and summers are generally dry, warm, and sunny. The tiny vineyard covers just 1.1 hectares and is situated at 280 meters elevation. The vines were planted in 1981 and 1999 with a southerly orientation, where they benefit from maximum sun exposure and are trained according to the Guyot method. The vineyard is cultivated sustainably and is HVE-certified. Research is being conducted to analyze the soil’s geology to measure the impact of the cultivation decisions on the vine and the resulting wine. The grapes are hand-harvested at optimum maturity. |
