Situated at the foot of the hill of Corton, this 20-year-old site is named after a barley field planted on the marl soils before it became a vineyard. It is a very elegant and balanced wine, full of fleshy stone fruits with just a hint of spice. Fresh, fleshy and harmonious.

Winery | A season of extreme summer temperatures and one of the hottest and sunniest on record led to lower yields. However, despite low yields, the quality and concentration are outstanding, with wines of great character. Grapes are harvested by hand and put in small cases so as not to damage the fruits. Grapes are pressed softly; they ferment in oak barrels our cooperage produces. 1/3 are new barrels. Ageing usually lasts 15 months on fine lines before bottling. |
