| Winery | The Vouvray AOC is situated on the right bank of the Loire Valley. The fruit for this wine comes from 70-year-old vines grown in a three-hectare single vineyard, le Pont de Frasnes. The vineyard is certified organic by Ecocert; the grapes are grown without synthetic or chemical preparations. The vineyard is planted with a south-facing orientation to maximise sunlight exposure during the growing season. It covers Turonian limestone hillsides, interspersed with confluent valleys and covered with perruche, a flinty clay soil. The vines yield 40 hectolitres per hectare, and the grapes are hand-harvested once they have reached optimal maturity. |
