Tasting Notes
-
Aroma: Bursting with zesty citrus, grapefruit, and delicate floral notes from the Sauvignon Blanc.
-
Palate: Clean, vibrant flavours layered with subtle hints of honey and a creamy, rounded mouthfeel from the Sémillon.
-
Finish: Bright acidity and mineral freshness carry through to a vivacious, lingering finish.
Winemaking & Vineyard Practices
The grapes are picked at peak ripeness to ensure optimum flavour and balance. Each variety is vinified separately at cool temperatures to preserve fresh aromatics and fruit purity. A slow fermentation using selected yeasts enhances complexity, while lees ageing in cement vats for three months adds a delicate texture and richness to the wine.

Winery | The grapes come from vineyards in two neighbouring villages: Saint Germain du Puch and Nérigean. The vineyards are located opposite Saint Emilion, on a plateau at around 70 metres elevation. The soils here are rich in clay, which imparts good water retention properties that help to sustain the vines during the warm summers. The high clay content also promotes the production of full-bodied, concentrated wines. The maritime climate is greatly influenced by the cooling breezes which flow in from the Atlantic and imbue the grapes with natural, balancing freshness. The vines are cultivated organically, and they are farmed without the use of synthetic sprays; the vineyard has been converted to certification since 2020. The vineyard is also certified as Bee Friendly, and great attention is paid to the pollinators within the vineyard. Careful canopy management takes place to maximise leaf cover and limit yields to concentrate the flavours in the grapes. The vines have been cultivated sustainably since the 1980s, with cover grasses, measures to ensure the optimum fertility of the soils and promotion of biodiversity to promote the longevity of the vineyard. |
