| Winery | The 1er Cru vineyard is a small parcel in the middle of the Gevrey-Chambertin the appellation, by the hill of the ‘Combe de Lavaux’. It is a sunny plot with a southeastern exposure that receives cooling breezes flowing from the bottom of the valley. The soil is complex, ranging from Dijon-Corton limestone in the upper part of the plot to decarbonated silt and Prémeaux - a hard pink-beige limestone from the Bathonian era. The 50-year-old Pinot Noir vines are cultivated organically, without herbicides and insecticides, and have been certified since the 2019 vintage. The grapes were hand-harvested in six-kilogram crates to preserve the quality of the fruit. |
