Domaine Jean Goulley Petit Chablis 2023 – Organic French Chardonnay with Character
A Pure Expression of Mineral-Driven Chablis
Crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes, Domaine Jean Goulley Petit Chablis 2023 is an exceptional example of organically produced French white wine. Hailing from the renowned Petit Chablis appellation in Burgundy, this wine offers outstanding freshness, complexity, and balance. It’s ideal for lovers of dry white wines with a clean, mineral finish.
Tasting Notes: Crisp, Textured, and Mouthwatering
This 2023 Petit Chablis opens with a distinct wet stone and mineral nose—classic hallmarks of Chablis terroir. On the palate, expect bright lemon zest, delicate apricot undertones, and a vibrant saline lift. Aged longer on the lees for added texture, it offers unexpected depth and a satisfying, lingering finish.
“There is nothing ‘Petit’ about this wine – the lees ageing adds body and complexity far beyond expectation.”

Winery | Maud and her family believe in the ethos of organic farming and minimal intervention; all of their vineyards have been farmed organically since 1991. The vineyard is situated on the left bank of the River Sereine, where the vines are planted with an easterly orientation at an average altitude of 210 meters. The double Guyot-trained vines are between 25 to 30 years old and are grown in Kimmeridgian soils rich in clay and limestone with fossilized seashells. There is also the presence of Cailloux, large pebbles which help to promote ripening by absorbing the heat of the day and then radiating it at night. The vines are planted to a density of 5,700 vines per hectare, and yields are kept to a maximum of 60 hectolitres per hectare. At Domaine Jean Goulley, they believe in highlighting terroir and producing their wines in an unoaked style, allowing them to reveal the soil's purity, minerality, and vitality. |
