Wine Description:

The Domaine Armand Rousseau Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru 2018 is an exceptional expression from one of Burgundy’s most renowned producers. Sourced from a carefully cultivated 1.47-hectare vineyard that combines .61 ha in Charmes with .86 ha in Mazoyères, this wine offers an impressive blend of power and elegance. The vines, which are around 25 years old, contribute to a wine of exceptional depth and complexity.

The 2018 vintage of Charmes Chambertin shows a very ripe yet fresh nose, offering enticing aromas of plum liqueur, newly turned earth, violet, and a subtle whiff of the Sauvage, framed by just the right amount of new oak. This represents a shift from previous vintages, as since 2017, 20% new wood is used, adding a delicate touch of structure to the wine without overpowering its natural character.
