The Pelissero Vanotu Langhe Barbaresco 2021 is an exceptional expression of Nebbiolo, hailing from the renowned Piedmont region in Italy. This Barbaresco offers an elegant, velvety texture with a captivating aromatic profile. On the nose, you'll find an enticing medley of ripe raspberry and cherry, complemented by fragrant rose petals, delicate sage, refreshing mint, and earthy thyme. The 2021 vintage benefited from a mild winter, followed by a dry and sunny spring that initially promised an early harvest. However, the rain that arrived in May and June helped refresh the vines and restore moisture, ensuring a healthy development phase. September’s warm and dry conditions were crucial, allowing the Nebbiolo grapes to ripen to perfection, resulting in this elegant, yet powerful Barbaresco.

| Winery | The Vanotu is the most prestigious of the Pelissero vineyards and produced its first wines in 1960. Replanted in 1964, it lies between 300 and 350 meters above sea level and faces completely south. It is on the border of all three municipalities of the Barbaresco production area: Treiso, Barbaresco, and Neive. It forms part of the enclosure of one of the most beautiful valleys in the region. The vineyard is well-ventilated near the top of the hillside, resulting in very little disease pressure. The favourable microclimate and southern exposure guarantee regular growing seasons, even when other parts of Barbaresco do not fare well. The soil, particularly limestone-rich, produces elegant wines of great personality. They always clearly reflect the vintage with notes of sage, mint, rose, chamomile, thyme, and many other aromatic herbs that only certain privileged parts of the Langhe can express.
