Experience the timeless elegance of Domaine Emmanuel Rouget Echezeaux Grand Cru 2015, a prestigious and age-worthy red Burgundy from one of the most respected domaines in Vosne-Romanée. Produced from old vines averaging 60–65 years in the revered Les Treux and Cruots climats of Echézeaux Grand Cru, this wine is a compelling expression of terroir, vintage, and craftsmanship.
A Rare Burgundy from a Legendary Winemaker
The 2015 vintage in Burgundy is widely acclaimed, and this Echézeaux from Emmanuel Rouget is no exception. Sourced from 1.06 hectares of low-yielding, mature vines, the wine is crafted with precision and patience, offering immense ageing potential and deep complexity.
The bouquet opens with intense notes of black cherry liqueur, sandalwood, and exotic Asian spices, intertwined with violet and rose petal aromas. Subtle oak integration adds finesse without overpowering the fruit.
On the palate, this Grand Cru shows exceptional volume and opulence, delivering a rich, velvety texture balanced by a firm structure. Layers of dark fruit and spice unfold into a long, mineral-driven finish, underscored by fine-grained tannins and a touch of warmth that speaks to the generous 2015 vintage.

Winery | 2015 Echézeaux: (from a total area of 1.06 ha with 60- to 65-year-old vines in the climats of Les Treux and Cruots that have .63 ha and .43 ha, respectively). Once again subtle but not unnoticeable wood surrounds the slightly riper and liqueur-like aromas of black cherry, sandalwood, Asian spice elements and a lovely array of floral scents. There is both excellent volume and concentration to the opulent and seductively textured flavors that coat the palate with dry extract on the markedly firm finish that is very much built-to-age. There is a hint of warmth but other than that, this is very impressive. |
