Tasting Notes: Complex and Seductive Côte-Rôtie
On the nose, this 2017 vintage reveals intense aromas of blackberries, dark cherries, toasted oak, smoked meats, and hints of floral violets, typical of Viognier’s subtle inclusion. The palate is full-bodied and richly textured with silky tannins and a layered structure, leading to a long, powerful finish. Notes of liquorice, espresso, and vanilla unfold with time in the glass.
This is a cellar-worthy Côte-Rôtie that promises to evolve beautifully for decades.
