(With thanks to Dr. Jeff Chen). The expressive nose is still extremely floral and trimmed in subtle but classic Vosne spice that introduces medium-weight flavours of good richness but not as much nuance or grace as one might want, as the otherwise reasonably complex finish displays a hint of greenness to the supporting structure. I was surprised at how well this was drinking, given the huge format, and while it will certainly hold for years to come, it's not clear that there will be any additional upside development. In short, while this is perfectly good for the vintage, it's not particularly distinguished either.
