Discover the Fine Elegance of Grenache in Vinsobres 2021
Château de Rouanne’s Rouanne et Les Crottes Vinsobres 2021 presents a striking example of Grenache at its best. This wine showcases the finesse, roundness, and profound elegance of the variety, expertly crafted to highlight its rich and complex flavors. With a deep expression of ripe blackberry fruit, the wine reveals delicate nuances of spicy gingerbread, graphite, and a hint of salinity, which creates a well-rounded profile that is both harmonious and refined.
The Ideal Choice for Wine Enthusiasts and Connoisseurs
Vinsobres, located in the southern Rhône, is renowned for producing wines of great depth and character, and this Rouanne et Les Crottes is no exception. The 2021 vintage, made exclusively from Grenache, stands out with its remarkable balance between fruit-forward richness and sophisticated spice and mineral notes. The wine’s 15.5% ABV lends a warm, full texture while maintaining a refreshing acidity, making it a perfect pairing for hearty meats, grilled vegetables, or aged cheeses.
Produced by Château de Rouanne, a winery dedicated to organic farming (currently in conversion), this wine is also vegan and vegetarian-friendly, with no added animal products. For those seeking high-quality, sustainably crafted wines, this Grenache offers an exceptional choice for any collection.
The lieu-dit of Rouanne et Les Crottes always demonstrates excellence, irrespective of the vintage, and showcases the estate’s finest qualities. A Gallo-Roman site in the Vinsobres cru Rouanne et Crottes was mentioned in the 17th-century Cassini maps. It appears that the vines have found the perfect location to grow. The soil is made up of clay, which retains a little water to nourish the vines but never too much due to the rolling hill, where the incline is not too steep. There is a lovely south-eastern aspect, ostensibly facing towards the rising sun. This vineyard site always produces a reasonable crop, which ripens well but not too quickly and never rots. Vines need balance and regularity to produce fine wine, and Rouanne et les Crottes offers just that.
