| Winery | The grapes come from a combination of estate vines and grapes sourced from carefully selected vineyards in Burgundy. The estate covers 116 hectares across the Côte Chalonnaise, where the vineyards are made up of clay-limestone soils, which offer the perfect balance of water retention properties from the clay. At the same time, the limestone element imparts natural elegance to the wines. The climate is continental, with relatively cold winters and warm, dry summers creating good ripening conditions. The hilly topography gently influences the microclimates in the Côte Chalonnaise, leading to slightly lower rainfall levels than other areas of Burgundy. The estate vines are Guyot-trained and carefully hand-harvested at optimum maturity. The team at André Delorme is fully committed to sustainable viticulture, and the vineyards are certified HVE Level 3, which officially recognises environmental performance, including biodiversity conservation, plant protection strategies, managed fertiliser use and water resource management. |
