Winery	The DO Valdeorras is an inland Galician appellation in northern Spain, becoming renowned for its white wines from the Godello grape. The grapes for Mais Ala come from 40-year-old vines grown on trellises in ‘A Falcoeira’ in the O Bibei subzone. The small plots are located on the mountainside at an altitude of 600 to 650 metres, on steep slopes, where cooler nights encourage the natural acidity, resulting in a fresh style of wine. Granitic soils nourish the vines, specifically the local decomposed granitic soil known as 'sábrego’. Plant cover crops keep the soil healthy and maintain biodiversity. The vines are cultivated with natural preparations to reduce phytosanitary treatments. The vineyard is cultivated as sustainably and ecologically as possible, provided the weather conditions allow. Organic products, such as copper and natural extracts,s are used in the first instance, but traditional preparations are used if necessary. Vineyard management and harvesting takes place manuall.y
