| Winery | The grapes come from the historic Cerequio vineyard, one of the most significant Crus in the entire Barolo winegrowing region. The one-hectare plot is located in the municipality of Barolo, situated at around 320 metres above sea level, with a southern exposure which is ideal for capturing the afternoon summer sun and achieving excellent maturity. The vines have an average age of around 36 years and are planted at a density of 4,600 vines per hectare. The vines are Guyot-trained and are planted in limestone and clay-rich soils, with elements of Marne di Sant’Agata, a limestone-rich marl in which the Nebbiolo variety thrives and produces balanced, elegant wines. The plot is cultivated sustainably, and the vines will be hand-harvested in October. |
