A Premier Cru Chablis with Impeccable Elegance
The Thomas Labille Chablis 1er Cru Vosgros 2021 delivers a sophisticated expression of Chardonnay that captures the essence of Burgundy's renowned terroir. Produced in the prestigious Premier Cru Vosgros vineyard, this Chablis stands out for its striking mineral backbone and harmonious balance. This exceptional wine unfolds with delicate floral and herbaceous aromas that lead into a complex palate of pear, ripe peach, and a characteristic wet-stone minerality—a hallmark of Chablis wines.
Crafted from 100% Chardonnay, this 2021 vintage benefits from a season shaped by a cool spring and a warm summer, which allowed the grapes to ripen to perfection. The result is a wine that is both fresh and generously textured, with a clean, crisp finish that lingers on the palate. The 2021 vintage is particularly noteworthy due to the challenging conditions, including April frosts that affected some vineyards, yet the harvest achieved outstanding maturity and flavor concentration.

Winery | The Chardonnay vines are planted on hillside plots in the 1er Cru appellation of Vogros, which lies south of the village of Chablis on the left bank of the River Serein. With a south-easterly orientation, the plot benefits greatly from good exposure to the sun, and its amphitheatre shape protects it from the winds. The vineyard is situated upon a Kimmeridgian clay-limestone subsoil, imparting elegance and characteristic minerality. The continental climate, with cold winters allowing the vine to rest and the sap to descend and warm summers, encourages the grapes to ripen. The vines are trained according to traditional methods and are sustainably farmed; the estate is certified HVE, which officially recognises the environmental performance of winegrowers, including biodiversity conservation, plant protection strategies, managed fertiliser use and water resource management. |
