Produced by winemaker Charles Perez, this expressive cuvée showcases the powerful terroir of the Côtes du Roussillon and the skilful touch of a passionate artisan.
Tasting Notes – A Bold and Velvety Red Wine
This vintage reveals a velvety, full-flavoured palate bursting with ripe red fruits, blackcurrant, and juicy blueberry, layered with spicy notes of pepper and cinnamon, and lifted by delicate touches of Mediterranean garrigue herbs. Its silky tannins and balanced acidity lead to a long, satisfying finish.
Unlike many French wine regions in 2021, Roussillon faced a historically dry season with just 200mm of rain. A cold winter delayed budburst, but a mild summer and healthy flowering preserved the vitality of the vines, resulting in a low-yield, high-quality harvest. The 2022 vintage reflects both the intensity of the terroir and the resilience of the vines.

| Winery | The vines are grown in Aspres terroir characterises the sun-drenched terroir which is bordered by a landscape of garrigue. The Mas Becha grapes come from selected parcels, with clay, silt and marble pebble stone soils. The vines are farmed organically; without the use of pesticides or chemicals. Manure and compost is used on the vines from organic matter, which is made on site. The vines are treated with fermented plants, copper and sulphur. |
