The 2023 vintage benefited from a promising start to the growing season, with adequate winter rainfall and no significant frost damage. Although May and June brought challenges due to humidity and disease pressure, the summer was marked by extreme drought and a record-breaking four-day heatwave in late August. This led to an early yet concentrated harvest, producing wines of great character and aromatic depth.

| Winery | This Cuvee comes from the selection of the old vines planted on the clay-flint hillsides of Menetreol-sous-Sancerre and Sancerre. Grown sustainably without herbicides, this rare terroir gives the wine remarkable ageing potential. The south-to-south-easterly exposure ensures that these hillside plots enjoy optimal sunshine every year. Organic fertilisers limit yields and vigour, concentrating the fruit and terroir flavours in the berries.
