Tasting Notes for Gaja Costa Russi Barbaresco 2021
The nose of the Gaja Costa Russi Barbaresco 2021 is immediately captivating with an enticing bouquet of floral and sweet aromas. Fragrant notes of rose, violet, and blood orange intertwine with delicate hints of red berries, liquorice, and turmeric. These complex aromas give way to a depth of character that promises an incredible tasting experience.
On the palate, this Barbaresco is rich, fleshy, and full-bodied. A generous profile of red and dark berries unfolds, including ripe mulberry, red currant, and black cherry. The texture is smooth and velvety, with soft, round tannins that provide a perfect counterbalance to the wine’s vibrant acidity. The finish is long, lingering, and beautifully balanced, making it one of the most inviting and approachable wines from Gaja's collection of single-vineyard Barbarescos.
