Tasting Notes
The Bodega Biniagual Memories Blanc Mallorca 2022 is a beautifully balanced white wine that showcases the expressive terroir of Mallorca. On the nose, it captivates with delicate floral notes, complemented by the fresh aromas of citrus and ripe pear. The crispness of the wine is immediately apparent on the palate, where it delivers a refreshing and elegant experience, balanced by a subtle richness. The wine's finish is long and clean, leaving a satisfying, vibrant aftertaste.
This wine is a blend of three native and international grape varieties: Prensal Blanc (50%), Chardonnay (30%), and Moscatel (20%). These varietals work harmoniously to create a complex yet approachable profile, with the crisp acidity of Prensal Blanc and the roundness from Chardonnay, lifted by the aromatic Moscatel.
Vineyard & Terroir
The vineyard sits at an altitude of 140 meters above sea level in the Binissalem region of Mallorca. This northern-facing vineyard benefits from thermal winds that pass through the vines each afternoon, creating a unique microclimate conducive to healthy vine growth. The soils, rich in clay, help retain heat, which is then radiated during the cooler nights, supporting an even ripening of the grapes. This combination of environmental factors, along with rigorous vineyard management practices such as green harvesting, ensures the highest quality fruit is harvested.
Winemaking Philosophy
Bodega Biniagual emphasizes sustainable farming practices and believes that the true quality of a wine is made in the vineyard. The focus on minimal intervention allows the natural character of the grapes to shine through. No animal products are used, making this wine suitable for both vegetarians and vegans. Though not certified organic or biodynamic, the estate operates with respect for nature, using natural preparations to nourish the vines and enhance their health.

Winery | Bodega Biniagual is a family-run business dedicated to producing quality wines from traditional grape varieties, on land which has cultivated vines dating back to the 13th century. Located in the heart of Binissalem, the small village of Biniagual was renowned for its wine production until the phylloxera plague destroyed most of the vines at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1999, the current owners replanted the estate with vines and started producing wine again in 2002. The estate covers 34 hectares, where indigenous Majorcan varieties such as Manto Negro and Prensal flourish alongside international varieties. Cutting-edge technology is used in the winery to craft modern wines that truly reflect their terroir. |
