Winery	Even 150 years after its foundation, Balthasar Ress is still wholly owned by the Ress family. Since 2010, Christian has been responsible for the company's management; since 2014, Oliver Schmid has been the vineyard manager. Together, they developed what Balthasar Ress wines are today: Uncompromising quality and respect for nature. Some 78% of the productive vineyard area is planted with Riesling and 12% with Pinot Noir. Balthasar Ress produces approx. 250,000 bottles of wine yearly. The estate has obtained organic certification since 2019 and hasn't used herbicides since 2010.
