Tasting Notes
The E Guigal Ermitage Ex Voto Blanc 2020 has a brilliant and clean straw yellow hue, which visually hints at its depth and complexity. On the nose, expect powerful and intense aromas of white flowers, acacia honey, and hawthorn blossom, delivering a fragrance that is both floral and subtly sweet.
The palate reveals a rich and full-bodied wine with exceptional depth and balance. The combination of Marsanne and Roussanne grapes imparts a fleshy fruit profile with hints of ripe peach, citrus zest, and a touch of minerality. This is beautifully underpinned by the powerful terroir of the Ermitage region, showcasing the wine’s heritage, strength, and remarkable ability to age.
The delicate yet expressive nose is perfectly balanced by the weighty mouthfeel and complex finish, making this wine an ideal pairing for a variety of dishes, from lobster and shellfish to roasted poultry and creamy cheeses.
