- Pale gold/ gold color with green shades. The nose is made of white flesh fruit and candied citrus aromas with a hint of brioche and gingerbread. The mouth associates richness, subtle oak, taste of dried fruit. A pleasantly rich wine.
- Beaune 1er Cru du Château Blanc offers up aromas of pear, white flowers, and peaches, framed by a deft touch of oak. Medium to full-bodied, rich, and enveloping, it's lively and textural, with good underlying acidity. This is a charming, expressive introduction to the vintage, appellation, and maison.
Bouchard Pere & Fils has released the Beaune du Chateau wine, a Bouchard exclusivity, every year since 1907. A blend of several Premier Cru parcels, it combines the many facets of the Beaune terroir in one wine. Fine harmony is the hallmark of this peach- and apple-flavored white. It turns even more precise as it builds to a lingering finish of apple and lemon notes. a medium to full-bodied, velvety wine evocative of cherries, smoky plums, spices and dark chocolate. Charming and perfumed, it's an elegant wine that gets my nod as the finest Beaune du Chateau for some time.
The Beaune du Chateau white comes from 5 Beaune Premier Cru parcels, selected for their complementary qualities: Aigrots, Sizies, Sur les
Greves, Teurons and Tuvilains. Before being blended, the grapes from each Climat are vinified separately to preserve the typical characteristics of the different terroirs.
