Heritage & Terroir

Long recognised as a pioneer winery in Western Australia, Xanadu draws on a rich legacy rooted in Margaret River since 1977. The Circa 77 range itself commemorates the year the original Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon vines were planted. 
These vines thrive in the Wallcliffe subregion, on ancient, free-draining granite soils, influenced by cooling sea breezes from the Indian and Southern Oceans. 
Sustainable viticulture practices reflect Xanadu’s commitment to environmental care. 

Winemaking

For the 2024 vintage, the grapes (74% Sauvignon Blanc, 26% Semillon) are gently pressed, fermented in stainless steel (with a portion of Sauvignon Blanc whole-berry pressed and fermented in barrel), and blended to maximise freshness. 
This restrained approach preserves the varietal purity and aromatic vibrancy.

Tasting Profile

• Appearance: Pale straw with a subtle green hue.

• Nose: Zesty lime, passionfruit blossom, white peach and lemongrass.

• Palate: Medium-bodied and fruit-driven, with lemon‑drop citrus, guava, honeydew melon and a whisper of kaffir lime. The Semillon contributes texture and elegance. 

• Finish: Clean, crisp acidity and a lip-smacking, refreshing finish. 

• Cellaring: Best enjoyed while youthful to retain its aromatic clarity.
