Olivier Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseigneres 2014

A whole of four plots scattered on the terroir located below the Grands Crus of Batard and Bienvenues Batard. This terroir is considered as the richest and the most powerful of its category. Blend of several plots with a brown soil on a limestone flagstone.

At their arrival in our cellar, the grapes are immediately and carefully pressed with a pneumatic press, 100 % crushed grapes. 16 months (whose 4 months in stainless steel tank) then into 100 % of the wine goes into oak barrels ( of which 20% is new oak)

"Peach, apple and spice flavors ply the rich texture, while lively acidity keeps this white balanced, pushing it to a lingering conclusion.

AGEING

18 months (whose 6 months in stainless steel tank)
100 % oak barrels (whose 20% of new oak)

Pale lime tint to the colour. A classical approach with a little more steel than the blend. Lovely intensity at the finish, properly balanced, generous yet with a backbone, and very persistent in its balanced fruit. Ripe lemon notes to finish.
