An enticingly fragrant wine, with subtle hints of white

zesty finish.

Producer Note
Weingut Weegmüller has over 300 years of winemaking history. The Weegmüller
sisters Stefanie and Gabrielle have excelled in making delicious wines from the
Palatinate region for over 30 years. Having started in 1984, owner Stefanie was one of
the first female winemakers in Germany’s wine industry. Not only has she mastered
all the technical aspects of winemaking, but she brings both heart and soul to her
work. Gabrielle carefully manages the commercial aspects of the business. The
vineyards are farmed organically and the yields are restricted to gain concentration
and weight, resulting in wines that are wonderfully rich and food friendly.

Vintage
The winter and spring were very dry, with very little rain. Flowering took place very
early, around the end of May. Showers in May helped to replenish the water
reserves in the soil. A hot and dry summer followed, which allowed the grapes to
ripen well. The vintage started very early, with picking at the end of September and
despite the hot and dry conditions during summer the vines produced high yields of
good quality fruit.

Vineyard
The Scheurebe (pronounced "sh-oy-rebe") grapes are produced in the outstanding
vineyard sites of the Mittelhaardt. Almost 90% of Weingut Weegmüller's vineyards are
located in the top classified region of Haardt. This district takes its name from the lowlying Haardt Mountains, which play a vital role in the terroir here. The soils are made
up of marl, loam and clay.

Winemaking
Harvested by hand when the grapes had reached optimal maturity, the juice was
fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks at 18°C to preserve the
freshness and aromatic characteristics of the Scheurebe grape.
