Deakin Estate's family-owned vineyards lie in the Murray Darling region of northwest Victoria, Australia. Here, the majestic Murray River weaves across the land, bringing life to the region and the vineyards. The Artisan's Blend showcases skillful varietal blends from the Estate's vineyards. This is a fresh, fruity, and textural white wine with ripe pear, tropical fruit flavors, and a hint of honey. Vegetarian and Vegan friendly this wine is perfect for drinking on its own or with grilled salmon, roast chicken, and creamy pastas. Chardonnay grape parcels were picked in excellent condition. To achieve a crisp, fresh style, yeasts that promoted aromatic characters were used during fermentation and selected parcels underwent lees to build palate weight.
Deakin Estate was established in 1967 and named in honor of Alfred Deakin, a former Australian Prime Minister who pioneered irrigation in this arid region. It was recently acquired by Calabria Family Vineyards, a third-generation family-run business with a history in winemaking dating back to 1927. The family are proud owners of vineyards in Riverina and the Barossa Valley, as well as sourcing grapes from local growers across a range of Australia’s best wine regions.
